30 Ways to Show Gratitude This November

November is the month we offer thanksgiving for the many blessings we have in our lives. Here are 30 ways to show our gratitude each day for the month of November by doing good deeds.



1. Everyday write down something you are grateful for and share the list with someone.

2. Start a gratitude journal and share it with others.

3. Volunteer to help someone in need.

4. Support a cause in your community.

5. Handwrite letters to family members to show gratitude for them.

6. Call your parents or another family member to give thanks for all they have done for you.

7. Get to know someone new in your community or neighborhood.

8. Help a neighbor with their yard work.

9. Write gratitude letters to friends, co-workers, teachers, coaches and/or a mentor.

10. Be a good listener for a friend today.

11. Get to know a veteran and thank them for their service to the country.


12. Cook or bake something special for your family to show your love for them.

13. Smile at everyone you see today.

14. Find the good things in someone and tell them.

15. Call a grandparent/aunt/uncle/cousin to say hi.

16. Express gratitude for yourself today.

17. Be extra kind to others today.

18. Donate unwanted clothes.

19. Spend quality time with a loved one. Bake, play a game, do a puzzle together, etc.

20. Have a pie night at your house and invite the neighbors to come and bring a pie to share.

23 Volunteer your time at a food pantry or donate food there.

24. Share ten things you are grateful for this year with your family members at the dinner table.

25. Post on social media the ten things you are grateful for this year.

26. Thank a few first responders for all they do for the community and keeping it more safe.

27. Make some caramel apples and take them to the neighbors.


28. Spend some time getting to know an older couple in your neighborhood or community.

29. Take some apple cider to a friend who is struggling, to let them know you care.

30. Give a thoughtful gift to a special person in your life with your gratitude list.
