Okay, so we know we told you that you can “forget the mix”, and just show up and serve, but sometimes you just want to show up with a plate of goodies, and that is great too! We are here for you in those times as well. Take a look at our top ten fall goodies to deliver to your friends and neighbors. Try them out and let us know which one is your favorite.
Zucchini bread-great idea to do with all of that zucchini lying around. Your neighbors will feel so loved when you show up at their doorstep with this delicious treat.
3 Ingredient Pumpkin Cookies-Check out the easiest pumpkin cookie recipe, ever. Only uses three ingredients. You can drop them into muffin tins to make muffins, or on a cookie sheet to make cookies. These are a favorite at our house each fall.
Banana Bread-Do you have overripe bananas lying around? Make banana bread out of them, or freeze to make banana bread later.
Snack Mix-Just mix any assortment of snack foods together and put them in a small ziploc, treat, or snack bag. Ideas include: pretzels, peanuts, m&m’s, candy corn, pumpkins, mini reeses. I’ve heard this combination is magical!
Pumpkin Pie Muddy Buddies-A classic, but so good! Just add a few ingredients to spice it up a little.
Caramel Apples- I’ve always thought that caramel apples were so difficult and messy to eat, which is why I like this idea from Mom Loves Baking (link to website), where you slice up the apples first, and then dip in chocolate, caramel, nuts, sprinkles, or whatever you want. Let us know how they turn out!
Apple Cinnamon Muffins/Bread- Yum, the smell of apples and cinnamon just scream FALL. Check out this recipe for muffins or bread, with a delectable drizzle on top.
Gingerdoodles-Ginger is another smell that reminds me of fall. Check out this twist on the classic snickerdoodle cookie.
Pumpkin Spice Magic cookie bars-I absolutely LOVE magic cookie bars. I didn’t realize they could get even better by adding pumpkin spice. Check them out. So simple to make!
Mini pumpkin pies-these are adorable and incredibly easy to make, especially if you use pumpkin pie filling. And...BONUS...they look like you spent hours in the kitchen!
Tips for how to package these sweet treats for delivery:
For bread delivery, you can get twist tie bread bags at your local grocery store that are perfect for delivering zucchini, banana, or apple cinnamon bread. You can also get miniature bread pans to cook your bread in, and deliver smaller loaves of bread. Syran wrap and tinfoil also work great.
For all your other goodies, a medium sized paper-plate (about 8 ½ inches) fits perfectly in a gallon ziploc bag. Keep it simple! Add a bow, card, or tag (like the one below) or just deliver as is. Let us know what other Fall goodies you like to deliver to your friends and neighbors. Let's serve!
